This is the privacy policy for Spectre & Vox Limited ("Spectre & Vox", "we", "us", "our"), covering our website at spectreandvox.com ("the Site") and the Spectre & Vox mobile app ("the App").

types of data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Contact details you give us directly, such as name and email address, for example when signing up to our mailing list or booking a ticket.
Usage data collected automatically when you visit the Site, such as pages viewed, browser type and general location, via Google Analytics.
Cookies used by Google Analytics on the Site (see below).

We do not collect any data through the App. See "The Spectre & Vox App" below.

All data you give us is voluntary. If you choose not to provide certain details, such as an email address for the mailing list, that's fine, it just means we won't be able to send you updates.

the website and google analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics, provided by Google Inc., to understand how visitors use spectreandvox.com; for example, which pages are popular and how people find the Site. This helps us improve the Site and plan our marketing.

Google Analytics uses cookies and collects usage data, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited. Google may process this data on its servers, which can be located outside the UK.

We do not use any other tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party ad networks on the Site.

the spectre & vox app

The App does not track you in any way. It does not use analytics tools, advertising identifiers, cookies, or any other tracking technology, and we do not collect data about how you use the App or where you use it from.

If you contact us directly through the App, for example to ask a question, any information you choose to share with us is handled in line with the rest of this policy.

email marketing

If you sign up to hear from us, whether through the Site, the App, or in person, your email address is added to our mailing list, managed through Klaviyo.

We rely on legitimate interest as the legal basis for sending you marketing emails, on the basis that if you've signed up or made a booking with us, you're likely to want to hear about future shows, events and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us at hello@spectreandvox.com.

Klaviyo acts as our data processor for this purpose. Your data isn't sold or shared with any other third party for their own marketing.

how we use your data

We use the data described above to:

Run and improve the Site and the App.
Understand how people use the Site, so we can make it better.
Send marketing emails to people who've signed up, as described above.
Respond to questions or requests you send us.

sharing your data

We don't sell or trade your personal data. We share data only with the service providers who help us run our business, currently Google (analytics) and Klaviyo (email), and only for the purposes described in this policy. Both act as data processors on our behalf.

keeping your data secure

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. We keep your data only for as long as it's needed for the purposes it was collected for, or as required by law.

your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Ask us to delete your data.
Object to how we're using your data, including for marketing.
Ask us to restrict how we use your data.
